Millin is Prepared for Updates to Texas EVV Services

Please review the note from Texas Medicaid, "Updates to the Long-Term Care and HCS and TxHmL Bill Code Crosswalks for EVV Home Health Care Services Implementation," for a description of these updates.

EVV services will be expanding for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Registered Nursing (including specialized), and Licensed Vocational Nursing (including specialized). These services will be billed with a new combination of procedure codes and modifiers, (see the note above for new combinations).

MillinPro is being updated to accommodate the new bill code combinations, and will be ready to bill claims for dates of service starting on 1/1/24. Claims with earlier dates of service can still be billed with the old combinations.

Millin is further preparing by updating our importers and contacting the agencies who use them so they are aware of the changes and will send us the new codes starting 1/1/2024. Please contact your EMR so they are ready to send the new bill codes on 1/1/24!

New Claim Sorting Functionality

MillinPro supports a new claim sorting functionality in the Encounters and Accounts Receivable modules, and in the Invoice Search within the Reports module.

You can sort claims with up to three filters per search using the Sort drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the screen. Selecting one filter automatically opens the next Sort filter.

Updates to the Long-Term Care and HCS and TxHmL Bill Code Crosswalks for EVV Home Health Care Services Implementation

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) claims matching for home health care services (HHCS) will begin on Jan. 1, 2024. EVV claims with dates of service of Jan. 1, 2024, and after do not have an EVV visit match will be denied. HHSC created new Long-Term Care billing combinations to submit claims for EVV and non-EVV service delivery locations.
